Xetava Gardens Cafe

Ivins (Kayenta) · Draft listed profile for the 435 Alliance register.

Profile Draft

Xetava Gardens Cafe sits in the Kayenta Art Village in Ivins, a planned desert community north of Saint George. Greg Federman and Rachel Stettler turned the cafe into a full-service restaurant in 2006 and ran it for eighteen years before selling in October 2024 to a partnership led by Matt and Nikki MacKay and Wendy and Jason Lewis. The new ownership group also operates Rusted Cactus and brings restaurant experience from the Salt Lake Valley while keeping homes in Ivins. The patio, the gardens, and the seasonal Mediterranean-leaning menu have remained the draw.

For 435 Alliance, Xetava is a textbook listing: a long-tenured Southern Utah independent with a recent ownership change that has not fully propagated across the public web.

Unresolved Questions

  • Operating entity post-sale (Utah Secretary of State search not yet performed).
  • Exact relationship between Xetava and Rusted Cactus — same operating LLC, or sister concepts under common ownership?
  • Whether the new owners view the Ivins location as their primary restaurant or one of several. Matt MacKay also runs The Cliff per public coverage.
